WFC were boosted by the return of Ed after he passed a late fitness test to take a place in the team, having been out for a month with the club being unhappy with his fitness levels due to excessive drinking in 2017. WFC were right at it from the off, against a tired opposition coming straight off the back of another game. The opposition didn't seem to be too bothered about leaving any defenders back neither pressing the ball with those players forward and WFC took full advantage with several well worked passing moves and counter attacks. WFC took the lead with a lovely dink pass in between 2 defenders which fell to Ed 2 yards out 1-0. It was quickly 2-0 when Alfie played a nice ball into Josh on the left who finished it emphatically in the bottom right corner. In a nice period of dominance WFC added a third with a lovely through ball from Billy sending Ed through down the middle who sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 3-0. Bunn then popped up with a cheeky poachers goal nicking it off the defender directly from a goal kick about 5 yards and rolled it into an empty net (fifa goal when you accidentally press A/X), 4-0. Throughout the game WFC made very few mistakes and were compact and hard to break down with solid performances from Alfie and Jack who were given good protection by Ed, Billy and Josh often forcing the attacks out wide and stopping the crosses. Bunn was a constant option up front and GK Jay pulled off some great saves and his kicking was also impressive. Only a late power strike from distance denied WFC a perfect game, 4-1. The aggression and pressing from the defence and attack was the real difference in the game as they had the technical players but were out battled by WFC, solid win.
