Away league match

Worthing Dynamo U13 Black travelled to face Selsey U13 at their home ground on 9 November 2025, with kick-off at 11:05am in a league away fixture. The 70-minute contest ended in a 5-2 victory for the hosts, as Selsey U13 overturned an early deficit to claim all three points.

Worthing Dynamo lined up in a traditional 4-4-2 formation, deploying Archie Parker-Muckle in goal to marshal the defence. The back four consisted of Toby Rennie at right back, Leo Whyatt and Toby Killick as central defenders, and Bailey Freshwater covering the left flank. In midfield, Woody Mason operated on the right wing, with Teddy Gill and Isaish Hatton occupying the central midfield roles, and Dexter Courtnadge on the left. Up front, the strike partnership featured Theo Phillips on the right and Harrison Flanagan on the left. No substitutes were named for this fixture.

The match began with Worthing Dynamo showing early promise, and it was Theo Phillips who opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a fine solo effort, weaving past defenders to find the net. Just a minute later, Phillips doubled the lead, this time benefiting from a neat short pass from Teddy Gill inside the box to slot home confidently.

However, Selsey U13 responded swiftly, pulling a goal back in the 28th minute to reduce the deficit. They continued to press and found an equaliser before half time, scoring again in the 35th minute to level the match at 2-2 as the teams went into the break.

The second half saw Selsey U13 take control of the game, adding three more goals to their tally. Their third goal came in the 54th minute, followed by a fourth in the 59th minute. The hosts completed their scoring in the 63rd minute, making it 5-2 and effectively sealing the victory.

Despite the scoreline, Archie Parker-Muckle was named player of the match for his efforts in goal, making several crucial saves to keep Worthing Dynamo in the contest for as long as possible. The defensive unit and midfielders battled hard, but the visitors were ultimately undone by Selsey’s clinical finishing and sustained pressure in the latter stages.

Worthing Dynamo U13 Black will look to regroup and build on the positives from their early attacking play as they prepare for their next league encounter.
