Worthing Dynamo set up in a 3-4-1 formation, with Ellis Williams in goal, flanked by a defensive trio of Teddy Gill on the right, Toby Killick in the centre, and Woody Mason on the left. The midfield was packed with Rudy Clark on the right, Leo Whyatt and Harrison Flanagan centrally, and Lewis Langdell on the left, while Reuben Wickens-Steele led the line as the striker. This formation aimed to provide a solid defensive base while allowing for quick transitions through the midfield and attacking options up front.
The substitutes for Worthing Dynamo included Theo Phillips and Sami Dalaman, who would be called upon later in the match to inject fresh energy and tactical adjustments.
The match began with Selsey asserting their dominance early on, scoring two quick goals within the first nine minutes. The first came in the 9th minute, followed immediately by another strike from Selsey, leaving Worthing Dynamo reeling and searching for answers.
In an attempt to regain control, Worthing Dynamo made a tactical substitution in the 15th minute, bringing on Theo Phillips for Lewis Langdell. Shortly after, in the 17th minute, Sami Dalaman replaced Teddy Gill, as the home side sought to shore up their defence and find a foothold in the game.
However, Selsey continued their relentless assault, netting their third goal in the 25th minute, followed by a fourth just two minutes later, extending their lead to 4-0. As the first half drew to a close, Selsey struck again in the 30th minute, making it 5-0 just before the whistle blew for half-time.

In a rare moment of joy for Worthing Dynamo, Harrison Flanagan managed to pull one back in the 49th minute, scoring their only goal of the match. This momentary spark was quickly extinguished as Selsey responded with their sixth goal in the 56th minute, followed by a seventh in the 63rd minute, concluding a comprehensive 8-1 victory for the visitors.
