Roberts Bags Treble In Wasps Rout

Wasps ran out comfortable winners against Cookley Falcons with a very pleasing performance, with some beautiful football and a hat full of goals.

The game wasn't easy though as Falcons gave a stern test for Wasps in the opening exchanges, dominating the ball with Wasps finding it hard to deal with the pressure. Then with two quick goals against the run of play, Wasps were able to settle and start to shine.

Another goal for each of our attacking wing backs , with Harry latching onto a through ball by Taylor and then Jasper heading home from a corner.

The goals for Wasps seemed to come in short quick bursts as it was soon 4-0. Jasper with a neat run cutting in from the left and curling his effort into the far corner. This was swiftly followed by Jack confidently attacking another Taylor corner to smash home.

Second half saw Alfie run the Falcons defence ragged. The defence was solid throughout with AJ and Jack causing problems down each flank, linking up well with the wing backs. This allowed Jake to also shine and pull the strings in the middle of the park.

Alfie scored two excellent solo goals to secure his hat trick late on. Harry also got his brace after excellent work down the left from Jake ended with him whipping over the cross and picking out Harry in the box who headed home. There was also time for Luke to get in on the act, hunting down the defence and slotting home after forcing them to make mistakes.

An all round excellent performance and player of the match award going to Alfie, Jack and AJ.
