Woodman Inn FC 3-2 Noah's Ark 2
On a sunny but windy Sunday morning, the Woodman Inn FC were unchanged from last week's win. The Woodman Inn FC started slow and if it wasn't for a few early one on one saves from Harry the team would be behind after the first 10 mins. Like the Bible states, Noah's Ark comes in 2's. On the 13th and 21st minute Noah's Ark took a two nil lead.
With 10 minutes remaining of the first half a great low free kick from Dan 'Beckham' found Tom 'Goal machine', who smashed it into the bottom corner. Again, coming in 2's the Woodman Inn FC equalised from a cross from Shaun 'Shearer' who found Matty in the box. A low side volley beat the keeper with ease.
Half Time
Both teams battled hard in the second half to find a winner. Chris made four subs of Curtis, Craig, Josh and Jimmy for fresh(ISH) legs. Unfortunately, Noah's Ark's four subs didn't show up due to floods in the Willenhall area. Pardon the pun.
On the 80th minute, the ball broke down in midfield which was passed out wide to Matty. Matty delivered an inch perfect cross which Captain Morgs headed home. Great diving header which finally put a hole in Noah's Ark's dingy.
