After a slow start to the game with neither teams creating a clear cut chance woodman gradually began to apply so pressure. Following and over hit corner by Matthew Corbett, a Josh Dams cross into the box was met by the keeper, who proceeded to punch the ball off the back of Matty’s head. Not long after a loose ball picked up by Michael Johnson, who slotted it through the defence, into Matty who took a touch and finished!

Half-Time: Noah’s Ark 0 - 2 Woodman Inn FC

Woodman looked to capitalise on the 2 goal advantage. With one effort going over the line the ref who had not received enough attention through the first half ruled it no goal. Shortly after a ball that was played square across the six yard box to an unmarked Shaun Pearce who decided not to bother finishing as he could see a flag from the linesman *sighs*. Woodman were hoping not that this missed opportunities wouldn’t come back to haunt them. Low and behold a foul on the edge of the woodman box was met with the cries of penalty, which the ref decided to agree with. The penalty was converted. Woodman still looked in control but a missed placed chip on the edge of Noah’s Arks area led to a rampaging counter attacking goal. Noah’s arc were looking to go back in to the changing room 2 by 2. But, Mikey with but seconds on the clock slotted once again through the defence to a stretching Jamie Morgan, who caressed the ball beyond the scampering keeper and into the back of the net! Jubilant scenes form the travelling away fans and 3 points on the board for the woodman once again.
