Match Report Vs Alderley United Selects

Despite conceding the last minute equaliser I thought Sundays game was really positive. Lots of good performances and more foundations built together as a team. ??

Seth managed to open the scoring in the first half with Alderley finding their first goal soon after. Our second goal came from a nice bit of play and a composed finish from Jacob P in the final few minutes of the game. This goal seemed like it would be enough for the win with a meaningful reaction/celebration from all our players. ??

I thought we were unlucky not to take a more substantial earlier lead throughout the game with their keeper making some really solid saves, however on the flip side I thought Noah stood strong and made some crucial saves at points throughout the game to stop Alderley switching the games momentum and taking the lead themselves.??

As we cement togetherness, encourage bravery and playing with confidence in training over the next few weeks / months I feel we have lots of potential and room for growth as a team and individually as we identify our own style play. We have an amazing group of players with great attitudes and technical ability. ??

POTM - Arlo + Max ????

Me and Jayden decided to award player of the match to Arlo and Max. They both battled all game and were constantly involved in the play, making decisions how to get out of pressure through clearing their lines and also identifying the right times to try and play through. Well done ??
