U10s Whites Match Report ??

??? Date - Sunday 5th October

?? Opponents - Glossop NE Oranges

?? Result - 2-3

?? Competition - League match

A tough game today in horrible weather conditions against a good strong physical side.

In possession -

First half was tough as we were playing into a very strong wind. However, we did start off strong and we created a few chances early on which could have seen us take the lead. Unfortunately, we briefly switched off, and Glossop capitalised on it with a goal. Seth then levelled the game for us and scored an excellent goal. Unfortunately the wind really picked up which saw us struggle to move the ball forward and get up the pitch to create more chances. Going into the second half we increased our intensity a bit and created more chances. We played some nice bits of football to get us forward but we didn’t managed to get our shots off and cause their goalkeeper any issues.

Out of possession -

With the horrible conditions it did affect the way we usually play as we weren’t pressing with the pace and aggression that we normally do. This gave Glossop more time on the ball and more time to make their decisions on what they were going to do next. When we press with our usual intensity it makes our opponents panic with the ball which often leads to us regaining possession, this was difficult for us to do today.

? MOTM - Seth

Seth battled hard all game. He was pressing for everything that he could and he put in some great challenges. Not only that but he scored an unbelievable goal with an overhead kick into the top corner. ????

?? Goals - Seth, Jacob D

?? Assists - Oscar

With the conditions today and playing against tough opponents I feel we did very well to keep the game at 3-2. Noah did some great saves and kept us in the game giving us a chance to get a positive result.

See you all at training on Tuesday.

Thanks

Jayden and Tom. ??
