U10s Whites Match Report ??
??? Date - Sunday 7th December
?? Opponents - Future City Tigers
?? Result - 3-8
?? Competition - League match
Tough game against a very strong team where at one point we could’ve got a result.
In possession -
Very similar to last week in the fact I was very impressed with how the lads were looking to play football and keep the ball by passing it to each other to either advance us up the pitch or to a teammate who’s in space and has time. We did manage to create ourselves a good amount of chances where we could’ve got an extra 1 or 2 goals on top of the 3 that we already had. We had a good spell where we started to create chances in the second half with quick movement and direct dribbling from our wide areas to get us into the final 3rd.
Out of possession -
It was always going to be a struggle out of possession against a good footballing side who move the ball well and effectively. The boys did well in 1v1 battles where we would win the ball back to stop threatening attacks. We weren’t as aggressive as we have been in the past few games today, which against a good team like Future City will cost us goals and leave open space for them to play into. With the game being 5-3 and us very much being in the game looking like we could pinch something you could also tell the tired legs kicked in within the last 10 minutes which can’t be helped when the lads had battled hard all game.
? MOTM - Sam
Sam was in a tough battle in the first half against their two very strong centre backs and he didn’t give up he kept fighting for the ball. He took a blow to the head and had to have a rest, a big well done to him for getting back on afterwards, once he came back on though he gave us a big attacking spark as a good few times he broke down the wing and beat the defenders 1on1 and got us into good areas and positions.
?? Goals - Arlo, Oscar, Seth
?? Assists - Jacob D x2
A tough defeat for the lads however still plenty of positives to take and we now focus on next weekend.
See you all at training on Tuesday.
Thanks
Jayden ??
