Another great team performance today and for the second week running we were the better team but again the result didn’t go our way. We have definitely raised our game in this league, I’ve been really impressed with our last two performances but the difference between us and our opposition has been the opposition being more clinical in front of goal and putting away their chances. We will continue to work on our finishing in training.
In possession -
Passing was excellent all over the pitch today. They struggled to break out of their defence at times as we constantly had them under pressure with our high press and constant pressure. In the first half you could see the boys implementing well what we have worked on in training, getting the ball out wide by playing through balls in between the defenders and the wingers and delivering the ball across the box for one of us to get on the end of which unfortunately we couldn’t do today.
Out of possession -
Simple mistakes cost us at the back today which lead to their goals. They caught us out on the counter attack a few times as our midfield 4 didn’t react quick enough to get back and help out our 2 defenders.
? MOTM - Jacob Parker!
Jacob was excellent today. Scored a great free kick and showed great use of his passing ability from back getting us further up the pitch. He worked hard out of possession and helped us to win the ball back.
