<p>Witham travelled to Priory Sports Reserves for there league encounter.
<p>Witham started slow and Webb was called in to action twice within 10 minutes to keep the scores level. Priory continued to push forward and went close but for poor finishing from the home team. Witham first chance come on 20 minutes but with a header going just wide, Yates then beat his man and finished on 25 mins but was wrongly flagged for offside. On 29 minutes a long ball over the defence had caused trouble and Webb was judged to have impeded the striker inside the box and a penalty was given. Webb made a superb save down to his right to keep the scores level but Witham were hanging on. As it looked as if Galacticos could hold on till half time 2 quick goals on 43 and 45 minutes left us a mountain to climb.

<p>Witham introduced Ballard, Johnson and Rowlands (come on just before half time) and immediately the game changed. On 49 minutes Johnsons superbly threaded ball found Yates and he took a touch and finished well into the keepers bottom right. Johnson was in the thick of things and minutes later he found Yates well inside the box but his shot was well saved. On 56 minutes Rowlands distance cross was goal bound and cannoned back off the bar, but fell to Johnson 12 yards out and his half volley was kept low and into the bottom left hand corner. Priory nearly caught Witham on the counter attack but finished poorly with a header. As the game went on, and 7 yellow cards later (not going to get into it) Rowlands made a superb tackle on the edge of the box, but after some overreaction the ref fell for it and gave a second yellow. Witham were down to 10 men but still pushed on and had a chance to win it when O'Connor controlled the ball well inside the 6 yard box, turned his man but the keeper spread himself well to block the effort.

<p>A game of 2 half's. We showed character to get back in the game and even had a chance to nick it. Not many standout performances, Johnsons 11 minute cameo of a goal, an assist and a yellow card definitely changed the game, Rowlands was strong and full of energy when he was introduced but man of the match went to keeper Webb who made some superb saves to keep us in the game
