<p>Witham hosted promotion rivals Hanningfield knowing it was a must win game. Ballard started his first game of the season and J Stoneham was deployed back on pitch.<p>Galacticos started on the front foot keeping the ball well and the front four pressing really high forcing mistakes. On 8 minutes J Stoneham returned to goalscoring ways with a strike from 30 yards out that flew into the top corner. Witham continued to dominate with Yates going close from 12 yards after he won the ball back and beat 2 men. Yeo then went close when his angled shot was well saved. 5 minutes before half time Jack Stoneham scored his second when he finished from close range after some good work down the left from Yeo.<p>HALF TIME WITHAM GALACTICOS 2 HANNINGFIELD 0<p>The home team continued to play some good stuff and top scorer O'Connor nearly got on the scoresheet but his header rebounded off the post. B Jeffery who replaced an injured Adams was finding lots of space down the left and was getting forward at every opportunity nearly created a chance for Yates but his shot was well saved. On 58 Minutes J Stoneham got his hat trick and Witham's third when he finished well inside the box. Hanningfield gave themselves a lifeline on 67 minutes by pulling a goal back but it was short lived when H Stoneham scored direct from a corner. towards the end Hanningfield pulled another goal back but J Stoneham wasnt finished there as he grabbed his fourth from close range in the dying minutes and Galacticos 5th. Assistant S Vicarage came on for a cameo role towards the end and nearly nicked a goal but his placed shot from 18 yards agonisyly come back off the post.<p>FINAL SCORE WITHAM GALACTICOS 5 HANNINGFIELD 2<p>A strong team performance to end the year on a high. Every player looked up for the game and our passing and pressing was the best it had been all year. Midfield two of Rowlands and H Stoneham had superb games bossing the centre of the park throughout. Our front 4 looked dangerous in every attack with some great link up play and high pressing throughout. Todays MOM goes to Jack Stoneham who returned back to form with a bang and 4 goals.<p>
