Winchburgh Albion Vs Livingston Whites

The 2015s had a tough game this morning against Livingston Whites.

Caelen led the team out as captain as we looked to build on a good performance last week.

We got off to a slow start falling behind after 20 seconds of the match but we slowly made our way back into it with Dexter scoring from a long range strike.

Our wingers, Caelen, Marco, Aaron and Noah were closing down and getting some excellent crosses into the box with Cael persevering and getting in some good positions. Our defenders, Michael, Tom and Jenson kept it tight at the back taking us into half time with nothing separating the teams.

Second half was another tight affair with lack of concentration at the back seeing Livingston score again.

Dexter came to the rescue after a bursting run through midfield and kept his composure to score his second despite being fouled as he took his shot. Jenson deputised in midfield for a portion of the game while Dexter got a rest and kept the pressure on their players allowing very little through the middle of the park.

Both teams went back and forth for the rest of the match with Caelen continuing to find our forwards with excellent passing and crosses and we were unlucky not to latch onto a few. Apart from a few excellent saves, Cullen was relatively quiet in goal again.

Not our best performance today but the boys stuck in.

Few contenders with Jenson, Dexter and Caelen for Player of the match but today goes to Caelen for his excellent delivery, driving runs and being defensively solid.
