Neutral league match

After a weeks break our Winchburgh Albion 2015 Whites were raring to go this morning. Led by Captain Jenson this week the boys found a good competitive game from Broxburn, with both teams starting quickly to try get a foothold on the game. Some good attacking play from both side seen a few shots on goal for both teams with our Keeper Marco standing up to the test.

As the game went on our boys grew into the match, showing our high pressing and passing play to keep attacking the Broxburn back line, with their keeper having to make several saves. The breakthrough came after concerted pressure and good play led to a Kai shooting which the keeper saved and Caleb was there following up to pounce on the rebound and neatly finish.

Broxburn reacted by attacking from kickoff and pushing us back. After some good play from them we conceded and equalising goal.

Our boys kept their heads up and continued to play their passing game tied with hard work seen them get back on top quickly, Kai impressing his dominace in the centre of midfield and continous attacking from the boys. We took the lead again after good shot from Dexter was saved but Caleb was there again following up the shot to get a brace for himself. A third goal following quickly after great link up play on the right from Aaron and Kai saw Dexters shot saved again, Caleb was the Hat Trick Hero. We finished the first half string with a solid defencive showing from Tom and Jenson ensuring Broxburn couldn't get near our goal.

The second half saw our boys start strong, Jenson winning the ball in midfield and make good passes to his team mates who were all showing for the ball. High pressing, driving runs and excellent passing saw them dominate the second half over a tiring Broxburn team. Our wide players in Aaron, Caelen and Dexter showed great skill and choice of pass at times.

We got our next goal from Caleb this time turning provider with a nice pass setting at Aaron to finish and get on the scoresheet. A further goal followed from Aaron finishing after Kai had his shot saved. Aaron joined Caleb as a Hat Trick Hero after he got on the end of a super long pass from Michael, finishing well. The final goal for us came from a superb cross from Dexter that Caelen drifted in at the back post to finish. A superb team performance all round with all the boys playing well.

Today's MOM was Caleb.
