Wilvale 2 - 0 Torquespeed

A cold and wet morning over Chancellor Park on Sunday, but at least the sun was shining!

We needed a good start this week and we certainly did just that.

30secs into that game, Finley pounced on a defensive mistake from the opposition and slotted a weakish shot from inside the penalty area.

All the boys looked like they were really up for the game and we looked strong thoughout. Will returned back in goal and made a fantastic tackle/save earl on but then had very little to do.

We doubled the lead after 9 mins with Finley scoring again after good work from Cameron and it felt like we would go on and score a few more.

But, we started to get a little scrappy and shooting from distance instead of doing the basics, but we kept going and did not give them and sniff throughout.

Defensively we looked a lot better this week. Josh, Felix & Jack did what they had to do and kept them down to 2 shots throughout the game.

Will and Rusty swapped in goal 2nd Half and and it helped massively with Will coming in on pitch to give us that little extra muscle - but all in all, a really good performance after losing a few on the bounce - And our first clean sheet of the season!
