Probably the most disappointed I have felt about a game since I've been involved (and there have been some bad games in the past!)

Having mentioned before the game about starting on the front foot and getting tackles in, we actually didn't start too badly and it was a pretty even 6-7 minutes with little chances for either side.

9 minutes into the game Rusty got a kick on the ankle and said he was unable to continue so Cameron had to take over in goal. That change disrupted the play and Swifts scored straight away from a corner that everyone one of our players stood and watched, and when there was the opportunity to tackle, everyone seemed scared to! Dangling their foot, turning their back etc, etc!

From then on it seemed we didn't know what we were doing. No-one put a tackle in, couldn't pass and the most disappointing thing for me was no-one actually looked like the really wanted to be there!

Swifts had plenty more chances but somehow we got back into it with a fortunate own goal. A cross in from Charlie was deflected in and we were back in it.

But! within 2 minutes we defended poorly again and they scored another before half time.

With Cameron being in goal, we seemed to miss his passing presence in midfield. Personally I'm not sure Rusty was too injured to play but seemed to ask if he could come back on and play on pitch!

2nd half was much of the same. No-one really put any tackles in. We looked Ragged, and to be honest, we could've conceded a lot more goals. Cameron made some fantastic saves but more defensive mistakes meant they scored another 3 and the game was lost.

Our first home defeat of the season - and a very disappointing one at that!

It appears the me that we seem to do most things right in training but as soon as the game comes, it all goes to shit!

They all seem to kick lumps out of each other in training, but cannot get close in the game!

Others seem to think that they don't need to work to get the ball but it should be passed to them all the time, then when they get it, shoot from anywhere!

Work needs to be done on attitude and awareness!

Too many times players chase the ball instead of being aware of specific jobs and defending!
