The Saints front two of Mcgorrigan and Alex Foreman looked lively early on and they almost linked up for an opener but former toon youngster Mcgorrigan was denied by the feet of Wideopen player manager Leeroy Odd after a great theoigh ball from his strike partner.

The Quay went ahead on 25 minutes with Brandon Williams grabbing the goal from the penalty spot after a harsh handball call on Wideopen with the Midfielders shot looking to be heading miles over the bar before striking an arm.

Wideopens two big men upfront were causing problems and when one of them flicked a long ball on left back Anthony Swain was first on the scene to smash home a left footed strike from just inside the box to send the teams into the interval locked up at 1-1.

Wideopen who hadnt managed to play any pre season friendlies then struck twice in two second half minutes to send the baring dog into shock first captain Nathan Rogerson smashed home after a defensive error before midfielder Stephen Shields then raced through to fire past Luke Ord to make it 3-1.

The Quay sent on substitute Joe Connor and he made an instant impact as he pulled a goal back with one of his first touches reacting quickest to a rebound to smash the ball into the corner from 8 yards.

Another sub Jack Renwick then played a vital part in the equalizer as his left footed corner was met by debutant Jay Brown who smashed the ball home at the second attempt to level the scores with five minutes left.

Mcgorrigan then completed the comeback with a magnificent solo goal as he burst past two defenders before crashing an unstoppable strike past Odd into the corner from 18 yards to the joy and relief of the Saints touchline.
