A brilliant second half fightback from the Saints saw them gain another win in their quest for promotion after they recovered from 3-0 down to take all three points.
Willington started the game slowly and went behind on fifteen minutes when Joel Thompson put the Uni ahead as he reacted quickest to turn the ball home after Quay keeper Ellis Burns had saved a strike from the edge of the area.
It was 2-0 five minutes later when left back Harry Wood doubled the home sides lead heading home powerfully after a great cross into the area.
Centre half Will Christopher grabbed a third on the half hour mark as he rose highest to head home a corner as the Quay endured a horror start to the game.
Just before the half time interval the Saints pulled a goal back as Ross Thirlaway stooped to head home from 2 yards out after strike partner Brandon Williams powerful effort was only parried out by the Uni keeper.
Saints management duo Mark Henderson and Gareth Pugh issued a rollicking at half time which seemed to have the desired effect when they pulled another goal back two minutes into the second half when Thirlaway once again tapped home from close range after another Williams effort was parried into his path.
Willington drew level ten minutes after the break with a fine team move youngster Louis Hutton making his first Saints start brought down a high ball with a great touch before finding winger Aaron Sindhar who picked out Thirlaway on the edge of the area and the talented forward completed his hat-trick with a powerful low drive into the bottom corner from just outside the area - his 50th goal for the Saints.
The comeback was completed five minutes later when Williams broke into the box only to be brought down by a mistimed sliding tackle, the forward took the spot kick and buried it left footed sending the keeper the wrong way.
The Saints had numerous chances to seal the game but couldn't find that elusive goal and the University almost made them pay as a long range effort looked destined for the top corner only to be denied by a brilliant save from Burns at full stretch to tip the ball over.
