Bains had a chance to double the lead from the spot agin five minutes later when Williams brought him down in the area after he cut inside from the left. He made no mistake again smashing the ball into the corner with Burns diving the right way but still helpless to stop it.
Ellington grabbed a third before the break a long ball over the top sent there winger away and he crossed perfectly for Leason to bury his header into the corner.
Noel Clynch came on for Scott Ramsay at half time but the home side carried on where they left off as Bains completed his hat-trick tapping home from close range after more poor defending.
