The Momentum from the Saints epic cup run seems to have transferred to the league campaign as they came away from a very difficult trip to promotion chasing Blyth Fc with a comprehensive victory.

Luke Taylor and Dylan Adamson returned to the starting line up replacing the missing Ben McDermott and Injured Brandon Williams.

Dale Hood went into the referees book in the 2nd minute for a foul which sent the blyth players boot flying some spectators including Blyths newest fan Andy Duff were calling for a red to be shown.

The Quay went ahead on 8 minutes when Maccas pounced on a loose ball in the box to curl the ball into the corner from just inside the box.

Blyth had their only real chance of the game on fifteen minutes when there forward ran through but could only scuff his effort straight at keeper Ellis Burns.

Maccas Turned provider on the half hour mark when his shot was blocked into the path of Alex who smashes home left footed to double the Quays lead.

Lee Crammond went off with a knock at half time with Dec King replacing him, despite playing against the wind the Saints were still well on top.

The lead was extended on the hour mark Maccas with great work down the right before a perfect cut back to big Dylan who made no mistake from 8 yards out.

Alex got his 2nd of the game shortly after as Louis's low corner found him in space and he expertly slotted the ball home first time.

Willington could of added to the scoreline with a few chances going begging late on with all 5 substitutes making a great impression when coming on.

The Saints now have won 6 of their last 7 and kept 2 clean sheets in a row for the first time in 3 years they face Burradon at home next Saturday in the league.
