Match Report - CASPIAN TIGERS FC - 22 Oct 2023

Wigmore were back to league action and up against the preseason title favourites.

Lessons had surely been learnt from last weeks game, at training the team were shown basic but necessary components to a match.

A full compliment of players to choose from and Wigmore raring to get back to winning ways.

Pre match instructions, clear and simple: Work hard, communicate and leave nothing on the pitch.

The managers team talks are becoming farcical 7 games into the season the reason being at HT 14 out of 15 players were not panting or worked hard enough, 15 out of 15 players had hardly said a word and the team had left plenty on the pitch.

The game was recorded and on playback you could always hear Wigmores opponents and more worryingly the game being played on the adjacent pitch.

Wigmore had conceded two soft goals by the half time whistle and had only created a few half chances.

Second half was a slight improvement but again the lack of communication was very noticeable which allowed Caspian Tigers to more or less dominate the second half.

Wigmore pulled a goal back but this never really gave the belief needed to take something from the game.

At 2-1 down with 15 minutes to go and Wigmore then conceded possibly the worst team goal in the history of Wigmore.

Final Score 3-1, the better team won on the day, Wigmore need something but what that 'thing' is the managers are not quite sure.
