<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;">The match started with Alton firing a long ball forward, but the Knights defence of Courtnage, Komboni, Grundy, Hooper and Garland dealt with this swift attack quickly.&nbsp; The Knights forced the ball forwarded, Sellitto lifted the ball towards the Alton goal; Holland headed the ball for Grundy who released Doel; Doel skipped past a defender and slotted the ball to Holloway, but his effort was well saved by the Alton Keeper.&nbsp; As the Knights applied the pressure, they were rewarded with a corner; taken by Holloway, the ball floated into the danger zone but the Alton defence kept their heads and quickly cleared their lines.&nbsp; The pressure was now building on the Alton goal, with Sellitto and Holland passing well and moving forward; Alton conceded a throw-in, quickly taken by Komboni but Alton were alert and turned their defence into attack.&nbsp; As Alton broke forward, a lone striker was given the ball and nothing stood in his way, other than Rust, the Knights Keeper.&nbsp; Rust rushed out, diving at the striker&rsquo;s feet to safely collect the ball, stopping this dangerous attack.&nbsp; As the Knights fought forward again, an effort by Sellitto went just wide; Alton took a quick goal-kick but Owen intercepted, he slipped the ball to Sellitto who edged forward before releasing Holloway.&nbsp; Holloway saw the opportunity to shot and did, striking the ball into the Alton net, 1-0 Knights.&nbsp; Alton still pressed forward, and from a corner Rust once again was needed; as the ball floated into the Knights area Rust pounced onto the ball, killing the play.&nbsp; From the clearance by Rust, Gardener and Garland moved the ball up-field, but the Alton defence had re-grouped and conceded a throw-in.&nbsp; Komboni took; Holland flicked the ball through to Holloway, who rounded a defender before shooting, finding the back of the net for the 2nd time, 2-0 Knights.&nbsp; The Knights then camped in the Alton half, and from a poor drop-kick by the Alton keeper Sellitto went for goal, lifting the ball over the keeper but 2 quick witted defenders cleared the ball off the goal-line.&nbsp; Alton then fought forward and the Knights defence conceded a free-kick in a dangerous area: the Alton striker went directly for goal, lifting the ball over the wall but unfortunately clipped the top of the cross bar and the ball went behind for a goal-kick.&nbsp; A few moments later Tadd kicked the ball up-field for Gardener; Gardener travelled a long way before releasing Holloway; Holloway rounded the keeper and fire goal-ward, but this effort went wide.&nbsp; With only a few minutes remaining, Sellitto and Gardener combined to release Holland; Holland crossed the ball into the area when Owen thumped the net into the net, 3-0 Knights.

<p>2nd half started with Alton attacking strongly, and from good passing and running off the ball, soon had a scoring opportunity; which they took, firing in a goal only minutes into the 2nd half, 3-1 Knights.&nbsp; The Knights then woke up, passing the ball well, forcing Alton to concede a throw-in; Komboni launched a long ball in, which Alton failed to clear; Hooper hit a high ball into the Alton area, Sellitto collected and slipped the ball to Holloway, Holloway scored giving the Knights a 4-1 lead.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rust then sent Gardener forward, he and Sellitto played their way into the heart of the Alton defence; Sellitto fired in a shot but the Alton keeper saved well, diving to the ground to gather the ball.&nbsp; Alton then found their second wind, and came at the Knights, an Alton player flew down the wing and thumped in a powerful shot; Rust couldn&rsquo;t hold on and the quickest to react was an Alton striker, pouncing on the ball and scoring, 4-2 Knights.&nbsp; Again Alton came forward, Garland, Courtnage, Hooper and Grundy still had plenty of work to do before the final whistle, holding Alton at arm&rsquo;s length.&nbsp; Again Alton came, passing well but being stopped at the final fence by a determined Knights defence; from such an Alton attack, Grundy cleared the ball up-field, Holland and Holloway chased, and then sending Doel goal-ward; Doel fired in a shot but again the Alton Keeper stood strong and gather the ball safely.&nbsp; As the final whistle blew, the manager had to decide who should be man of the match; and due to the way Rust dived and saved what looked like a certain goal, early in the match, was award this honour.
