Before today's game three sides shared the summit position of the division all level on points with the Reds sitting in third on GD.

Having already beaten Ebbsfleet in pre-season we were confident in getting the points needed to leapfrog them in the table but as the Wings game proved nothing can be taken for granted and we would have to earn the win.

The game started in a physical manner with both sides getting to know one another but ultimately the over eagerness of Ebbsfleet lead to them going two goals down.

1-0 A foul on the edge of the box results in a direct free kick. Jaydn lines it up and puts just enough power on it that the GK cant keep it out.

2-0 Jaydn is pushed over from behind in the box after shielding the ball. Jaydn then dispatched the penalty to give us a well deserved cushion.

3-0 Harry find himself it the right place at the right time to knock home number 3.

Halftime

The second half began with us in control but midway through the lads decided to make things more interesting and gifted them a goal by failing to clear their lines.

Then five minutes later Ebbsfleet found the back of the net again to set up a tense final five minutes.

A few squeaky bum moments ensued but the boys hung in there to pick up a well deserved Win.

There was also welcoming news from Dartford where Dartford Oranges managed a shock win against our other title rivals Welling Wings. This result coupled with our win puts us two points clear and with two games left the title is firmly in our own hands.

MOTM - Sid

Sid was given a difficult assignment today to man mark Ebbsfleets main man and passed with flying colors constantly snuffing out any danger in the centre of the pitch.

Next up we have a Cup quarter final away to Russellers Blue on Saturday before traveling to Dartford on Sunday where we can hopefully collect another two points which will keep us top going into the final round of games.
