Going into the game, Snipers coaching team decided on a different approach to today’s game, completely changing the positions of some player, and the boys stepped up. Admittedly some happier than others, but as a team this should give them some perspective of different sides of the game. Brandon & Wezza started as our cbs, boys did a good job. Sportsco took advantage of our unfamiliar positions & got some joy to start, forcing Eric into some early saves. Then a moment of magic, Leo ‘Messi’ King decided to have s mazy run, beating 7 players before laying it off to Big Ryan, who’s shot trickled into the goal to open his account
1-0
Sportsco hit back minutes later, defensively slow gifted them a equaliser
1-1
Sportsco almost took the lead when the striker hit the post, but that just seemed what we needed, Jay breaking forward & setting up Brandon to score
2-1
Snipers continued to force the game, with snipers forcing the og to go ahead again
3-1
Jay started to influence the game, played excellent all match, Louie in possessions was picking the right options, & Zak battling away refused to be beat.
H/t 3-1
2nd half was all Snipers, Jay received the ball off Zak for a cool finish
4-1
Occasionally Sportsco got away but found Eric unbeatable. Snipers team play was coming together & Jay got away for our 4th goal
5-1
3 min later goal of the game, calm play by Snipers, ended up with the ball at Louie’s feet, took his time & hit a screamer into the top corner, adding another entry in goal of the season
6-1
Keeping the pressure in Will found space, and cleverly fed them ball into Brandon to finish brilliantly, almost double figures for last years top scorer.
7-1
Lewis played well in the middle today, unlucky his effort was blocked, shot was so hard it deflected & sent Sportsco off on a counter attack, which Eric stood tall & saved.
Sloppy defending at the back even after going to 3 gifted Sportsco 2 easy goals but by then the win was in the bag. Well done Boys, certainly raised there game in different job roles today. Remain 3rd
