Home league match

So proud of our boys after today’s game, a very impressive defensive performance in the 1st half, soaking up pressure well, Eric making a number of top quality saves ( earning motm ) kept the sides level. Leo, Captaining the side had his best game in the Snipers shirt, bouncing back from last weeks

Injury, ( earning parents player today ) cutting out a lot of attacks, Will on the right side, did the same right side. Really impressed with the 2 boys. When attacks did get into our box Ryan & Lewis delt with the strikers well, Brownhills could not get a clear shot on target all the first half. Occasionally managing to break forward Brownhills intercepted, but have not been tested to much so far, until today. Jay broke down the right, whipped a good ball in, Good play from Zak in the middle to help Brandon get his shot off, GOAL!! Brandon opens his account up and you could see the joy in his face, been unlucky in-front if goal so this was good to see. Zak, Wezza, Jay, Louie & Brandon was all working so hard in midfield & this was there reward, but they could not hold on to the lead. Brownhills hit back immediately and equalised with a controversial goal, with Snipers player saying the ball hadn’t crossed he line, but, unfortunately the goal was given. 1-1 H/T and it was deserve. 2nd half Brownhills showed why they are top of the league & top scorers, taking the lead immediately into the 2nd half, Snipers then had to push bodies forward to try get goals but was picked off when then did. A few half chances and a good save from Brandon’s effort but we could not find another goal, Brownhills could & was some quality strikes. 4 late goals, 3 in the last 3 minutes gives the score line a inflated look but the boys should be proud of there efforts today, we are, on to next week.
