A good game in hot conditions tonight.
Playing a team of mates who made an XI up, we got off to a great start and on 6 minutes Jordan Winkle went clean through and had a shot parried by the keeper which fell on the edge of the box to Rob Harvey who slotted away calmly.
Having been the better team it was no surprise that on 29 minutes Walsall went ahead further thanks to another goal from Rob Harvey who ran through onto a long ball from Harry Jones and calmly slotted it past the keeper.
Half Time and six substitutions for Walsall.
Second half started OK, but on 57 minutes Marcus Moreton decided he fancied some shin bone for his dinner and hacked at the attackers legs until he finally went down for a penalty to the opposition. The penalty was SAVED down low to his left by James Redfern who also made a few other crucial saves in the game to keep us comfortable.
Two minutes after the penalty miss, on 59 minutes, the game was over at 3-0, when Jordan Winkle ran onto a ball played behind the defence by Rob Harvey, took 3 of their players on in their box and then rolled the keeper to slot into an empty net!
The final half hour was a bit bitty but we continued to press and do our jobs and in the end the victory was deserved!
