A hot afternoon in Coventry that ended up with a share of the spoils.
Taking on our toughest opponents this season so far, we fell behind early on due a defensive error being punished and then withheld a bit of an onslaught to keep the score down.
After around 30 mins, a ball across the defence played by Luke Pritchard to Aaron Parry was taken down in the box but Parry missed when it looked easier to score.
We started to gain a bit more control of the game from this point and towards the end of the first half Rob Harvey put over from about 8 yards stretching for a ball that had been played over from Luke Pritchard, and Jordan Winkle proceeded to take on most of the Coventry players to leave him one on one with the keeper but somehow put it over!
Second half, 50 mins and Rob Harvey received a pass into feet which he passed across to Jordan Winkle who took the ball and finished well to level the game.
Typical Walsall we then conceded about eight minutes later to find ourselves 2-1 down.
75 mins, Winkle clears/plays a ball from his own box that went over the defenders heads and was running out of play, but Harvey managed to keep the ball in and hold it up until Luke Pritchard arrived in the box where he took an outside of the boot pass from Harvey first time into the bottom left corner of the goal.
From this point both teams had chances to score and win the game but the game ended 2-2 and was a decent run out for both sides overall.
