The formation in the first half did not work for us, although Ben O scored an early goal, it was declared "off side". After this we couldn't get the ball forward. The opponents dominated the midfield with good passing and forward balls, scoring 4 in the first half. George was on Top Form making some magnificent saves, one of which was a World Class jumping push, saving us from another certain goal!
We changed the formation in the second half, with Ben O back in defence rather than playing upfront, and Ollie Vanns stepping into Midfield to close the flow from the opposition and placing Jack on the wing with Max up front.
The revised formation worked very well and allowed us to stop the opponent penetrating through our midfield with some great tackled by Noah and Ollie V, winning some set piece free kicks.
A Stunning free kick by Ollie Vanns from the right side gave us a much needed goal. A powerful punt left their keeper with no chance!
Another Set Piece from a free kick was a perfect pass from Ben O onto the diving head of Noah who strategically placed the ball in the top right bins. Awesome goal!
