Good evening Boys,
Hope we’re all enjoying our Saturday!
Very very quick summary from me. Some really good bits today chaps.
I thought the 1st and 2nd period we were fantastic. I thought we moved the ball brilliantly, specifically our ball circulation (switching play). Although, I do feel we could’ve been more patient with this.
Shape wise, we were exactly what I had expected.
We have done no 7 a side shape work so it was always going to be a little ‘playgroundy’ at times. This is something we will definitely work on through pre-season. Specifically our two deep players, Oscar and Tate who I thought done really well, recognising when to tuck round and provide depth.
3rd and 4th I thought it got a little messy, them adding the extra player didn’t help that but I do feel we dropped into the habit of too many touches. As I touched on at the end, top teams can continue to do the right things no matter the circumstances.
I thought we were a real threat out wide throughout. Teddy I thought you had some great moments.
Boys good start, a lot to build on from there.
We have a stacked and exciting pre-season schedule lined up. Next week is our last week before the break.
