Hope we all enjoyed the rest of our Sundays
Please see my thoughts from Sunday below.
Chaps I thought first half, could be our worst half of football of the season. I thought our decision making wasn't good, we couldn't keep possession of the ball, didn't really create anything and every ball over the top was a foot race defensively.
If they had more quality or Kian's starting position wasn't so good, we would've been chasing that game...
At the back, we must read the game better. Recognise when we might lose it and drop. This has caught us out three weeks in a row where we were caught by surprise with a ball in behind. It shouldn't happen.
I thought our awareness in possession wasn't good enough. You all know how big we're at Unique regarding checking shoulders however not enough of us is doing this consistently.
Micah, I thought the change of you into midfield brought real calmness and some control in the game, great performance. Isaiah, I thought you lit the game up and deserved your goal and x2 assists.
We played against a really unorthodox team yesterday where their shape is all over the place and players just roam. This brings it's own problems however in possession, you should be able to pick these teams a part, which we did in the 2nd half. Out of possession, it's a bit of communication and willingness to maybe have to do something different.
2nd half was better. The game really opened up and I felt we just picked them a part with more quality. I still feel we didn't keep the ball well enough but we were good at punishing and creating chances.
Maksym and Arthur, i thought you both reacted brilliantly to the subs and came on and made a real difference.
James I thought you had a strong game yesterday.
Zizi, really positive performance.
Boys, it's a good 3 points and it's nice to win a game when we aren't at our best.
