Good Morning Boys,
Hope we all enjoyed the rest of our Sundays.
Please see my summary below from yesterday.
First of all, well done on a fantastic reaction from last Sundays performance v Chatham. I thought yesterday was closer to the type of performance we've come to expect from this group.
I thought our reaction to going 1 down in the first minute was excellent scoring 4 minutes later. Same in the second half, conceding the goal and straight away going and scoring the other end.
I thought we dominated the ball yesterday and our two 8s Sami and Max done exactly what was asked of them. I thought we found them both in more threatening positions BUT I still feel we can improve on this and punch that ball into them more.
Nathan, I thought you were great first half and got on the ball well for us. Playing with one pivot, who ever plays as that 6 role has to be busy and get on that ball. James and Moise, I thought you both stepped in well and found Nath brilliantly.
We had them absolutely pinned back and it was an attack v defence game. But, I thought we didn't create enough clear chances, specifically in the first half. But we created enough to win the game which is frustrating. We need to put the chances away boys and take the sting out of the game.
Zechariah, Darcy, Arthur and Khalel, I thought your starting positions were fantastic. You were closer to your winger in front and joined in on attacks well which is exactly what we want to see.
Myself and Morgs were so happy with our back line. I thought we marked the 9 much better and was getting the line squeezed and out well. I want to see their 2nd goal back as if it's onside then it's a really poor goal to concede being totally unaware of their player while squeezing. However, If offside then there's nothing more you boys could do.
Overall, positive performance and one we can build on. Ramarn and Max Gillies, two fantastic strikes for the goals.
Let's keep working hard boys and developing!
See you majority of you at Elite/Futsal sessions and the rest on Friday
Thanks
Ollie
