Good Morning Boys,
Really quick summary from me from yesterday. I wanted to watch the game back before putting my thoughts down.
Yesterday I thought was a really disappointing performance. I thought we really struggled getting out from their press and lacked bravery to go and get on the ball. Having to make two changes in midfield because of injuries of course doesn’t help but performance wise we were no where near our usual levels, even before them changes.
They pressed with a front 2 similar to Ebbsfleet and they went man for man. I thought for one, we wasn’t brave enough to try and beat a player, I felt some of us hid a little and we just looked predictable.
When you’re playing against a team pressing so high, you need to mix it up with some longer passes. We just lacked the range and the quality to do so yesterday.
My last point is regarding the silly fouls in the second half. Boys, this must stop quickly. They were lazy, silly fouls that broke the momentum in the game and put us under pressure. Stand up and don’t dive in.
On a positive, I thought the goal to put us 1-0 was incredible. Back to front, brave, players willing to beat a player to break the pressure along with some great combination play.

We get back to work in the New Year and finish this season on fire!!
