Game 7 - Away to Forest Hall Falcons.
With us only just playing against the Falcons last week we knew we were in for a battle against a strengthened Forest Hall Falcons with 3 extra players in their arsenal this week. The lads all done really well and kept relatively Disciplined in there positions and from the start both teams looked quite even. We went 1 down and shortly after Jay O'Connor brought it back to 1-1 with a well deserved equaliser. Half time came and I told the lads to relax on the ball and show them why we are top of the league.
2nd Half. We upped our game and soon got our noses in front with a goal from James Taylor but the Falcons weren't going down without a battle and a battle is what they gave us and for the second time in the game they brought it back 2-2.
A bit of a reshuffle of positions and straight away we retook the lead with a goal from Luke Gibson and then another for James Taylor. Minutes left to play and the Falcons got back another goal to bring the score to 4 - 3.
Special mention!!
Today's game was a DING DONG of a battle and if not for some terrific saves from Tom Wilkinson it could have been a lot different. Well done SAFE HANDS!!
POTM had to be the hardest decision for the other coach to make but for a solid performance in the middle of the park it went to Troy Turner. Well done Troy Boy!!
