TTC BOOK THERE PLACE AT NEW YORK STADIUM

<p>The biggest game of the season arrived Semi final of the assciation cup at home v wickersley youth. A great turn out for thursday night saw us with 17 avalable players It was another tough decision for the management and its never easy having to leave sum 1 out but the decision was made and we lined up in our usual 4231 formation jamie in goal and unchanged bk 4 of ian ryan dosh n wayne, mikey n sean was the holding 2 with rougvie brunyee jake the midfield 3 with parkey leading the line. Left a strong bench of matty jonni conlon squires and phil.

<p>We set off really well with a great tempo to our play, Our passing was crisp and workrate fantastic we had wick pinned bk in the opening 15 mins and was rewarded with a well worked goal from down the left a great ball in from spanky were parkey made no mistake guiding his header bk across goal. We continued our high tempo pressing given wick no chance to settle, rougvie was giving there right bk nightmares as he kept bombing passed him with ease. Wick resorted to long ball to there big striker but our defence was strong and when we failed to win the win the first ball we cleared up on the 2nd. We scored our 2nd just passed the half hour mark when mikey hit a 30 yarder that went under the keeper and give us a deserved 2-0. We had a couple of half chances to make it 3 and kill the game but we went into the interval 2-0 up

<p>2nd half we got a little bit nervy and sloppy in first 10 /15 mins and wick had a good spell but never gave housley a save to make, Our first change came around the hour mark jonni on to replace jake. We started getting bk on top with rougvie still causing them alot of problems down the right and he had a chance to top his performace off with a goal only for there keeper to pull a decent save off. 2nd change came saw badger replace ian at right bk. Our good football continued and it was only a matter of time befor we put the game to bed. conlon replaced rougvie on the right and should have made it 3 when he was through on goal only to miss kick is effort. Squires replaced parkey after 80 mins and moved to right wing with conlon coming to left and jonni now the main striker. The change of positions had an instant reward as jonni played conlon through on goal and this time he made no mistake putting it in bottom corrner and making it 3 nil and finishing the game off once and for all.

<p>Overall boys was an excellent squad effort infront of a record 163 strong crowd at the TTC arena. We go to the cup final as underdogs but not just to make the numbers up we can win this cup. utc
