Matty's Brace Puts Club Into Semi Final After Outstanding Performance

<p>Going into this quarter final tie against premiership alfit treeton i had 15 players available. As usual my reliable assistant made up the 16 man squad. With 4 changes to last weeks squad we lined up Jamie in goal a bk 4 of ian ryan dosh n wayne, Hammon n sean was the holding 2 with rougvie brunyee jake the midfield attacking 3 and parkey leading the line. A strong bench of jonni matty reynolds callum n alan.

<p>We set off showing for too much respect for treeton and was 2nd best for first 15 mins in and out of possession. But after that we grew into the game and was unfortunate as we lost rougvie and wayne to injury in a short space of time both replaced with matty and alan. Our defence was solid and gave nothing away to the 2 experianced forwards and it was treetons keeper who was the busiest of the first half. 0-0 at half time was prob fare.

<p>2nd half we was outstanding and within a minute we had took the lead with a great header at bk post from matty. Another injury blow straight after the goal hammon had to come off to be replaced by reynolds. We was on front foot and pinned treeton bk we had numerous chances to score the 2nd. Treeton had occasionally moments were housley saved well from 1 alan cleared one out of 6 yard box and there lad hit bar with a header. We should have been awarded a freekick/penalty when parkey was through and there lad took him out only for the ref to wave it away awful decision mike could have made it 2 when he was clean through only for keeper to save well. 4th change with 10 left off came parkey who had run his socks off to be replaced by jonni who had an instant impact with some great play and assist to Matty who hit a 20 yard rocket to give there keeper no chance which even got the manager running on pitch to celebrate. 5th and final change came on came callum to replace matty who was injured in celebrations :) We saw the game out well and booked our place in the semi final of the ko cup for the 1st time in our history.

<p>Overall massive credit to you all today worked so hard for each other after first 15 and was deserved winners. Also big mention for matty who as been very patient this year but always turned up and given is all when called upon and today he got his rewards. Thats 5 wins on the bounce lets keep going utc.
