Jonni Screamer Sees Club Progress To Round 4

Very poor start to the morning knowing we was already short of players we had 2 no shows and a family incident that saw hammon have to get bk home. This left the gaffer with a few alterations to make to the team line up. so we lined up 352 with nick in goal a bk 3 of ryan ian and dosh. Rougvie and jake was the wing bks with jonty brunyee and gaz the midfield 3, Jonni and pip lead the line. left a bench of alan andy big john plows and hammon was named on bench as he managed to get bk to ground.

We set off on front foot and really pinned swall bk and we didnt have to wait long to open the scoring a good run and dribble by rougvie who finished with a superb low drive giving the keeper no chance. Our 2nd wasnt long in coming good work down the left from jonni drove a ball across the 6 yard box and pip was on hand to tap home. we created alot of decent chances in open 20 mins but only had the 2 goals to show for it. swall slowy got a foothold bak in the game and we was guilty of giving them cheap freekicks around our box and eventually 1 paid off with there lad heading home from 6 yard out. We managed to restore our 2 goal advantage just b4 half time when jonni was put through and made no mistake. Swall lad got a little to worked up about it and was shown a straight red card.

2nd half we never really got going although we had chances on the counter it was mostly swall and they got 1 bk from the spot after nicky pulled there lad down. Tbf to us we didnt panic and it wasnt long till we restore our 2 goal cushion when jonni hits a 30 yard sreamer that goes in via underside of crossbar. That was is last part in the game as he was replaced by alan and we went to 451. That goal killed swall and we was in control andy replaced brunyee for the last 10 and big john got the last bit of action as he replaced rougvie.

overall cup games is about getting through to next round and thats what we did. we could av looked after the ball a bit better in the 2nd half but the pitch was difficult as it became a mud bath last 20. Onto the next round well done boys
