with a 15 man squad to choose from there was 2 changes from last weeks excellent performance phil badger work and brunyee injured as replaced by hammon and medlock.
We lined up 352 with kingy in goal a new bk 3 of dosh ian and medlock, Jonni and wayne was the wing bks with jonty reynolds and hammond the midfield 3 parkey and pip lead the line. we had a strong bench of moore jake rougvie and tommo.
We set off really slow and monkwood was on top playing some decent football and kingy was called upon in the 1st 5 to make a good save rushing out to monkwood player who had sneaked in over the top from a defensive mistake. monkwood continued to dominate te ball for most of the half without creating any decent chances we had a couple of moments were we should have done better infront of goal but overall was a very poor 1st half as we went in all square.
We was forced into a half time change and a change of formation reynods ad to leave so was replaced by rougvie and we went into a 4411 formation ith pip dropping in behind parkey. we started 2nd half on front foot and 10 mins in took the lead from a good cross from pip to parkey at bk post who made no mistakes. It was a much even 2nd half and we did have a couple of moments to make it 2 but we wasnt able to and with 25 left from a set piece monkwood equalize at the back post real poor defending again from us from a set piece, moore replaced medlock a straight swap at right back as we entered the last 10 mins monkwood went into the lead from another back post goal really poor from us again. Tom replaced wayne as we switch bk to 2 uptop in search of the equalizer. Last throw of the dice was to put jake on who replaced hammond with just under 5 to go. We managed to create 1 chance which well to our leading goal scorer but this time the composure wasnt there as he smashed the ball high over the bar.
Overall we got what we deserved out of the game NOTHING. We have to be more consistent not good 1 week poor next or were going to see ourselfs relegated. Still a massive 9 games to go with massive games against teams around us to come.
