Conlon Blows Miners Away In First Half Cruise

<p>In our last league home game of the season we saw ourself's up against bottom of the table maltby miners welfare. We had a 16 man squad to choose from and a change to our usual formation we lined up 3232 with jamie in a goal a back 3 of ian ryan n dosh, Hammon n reynolds was the holding 2 conlon n wayne was the wingbks with jonty central behind front 2 parkey n jonni. We had a strong bench of rougvie callum jack phil n matty.

<p>We set off very well especially down the right were conlon was causing the right bk alot of problems to the extent we was awarded a penalty 7 minutes in when he had is leg clipped. Jonni stepped up and rifled it home sending the keeper wrong way. Our lead was doubled again from work down our right by conlon whos pass to parkey who finished well. We was awarded another penalty as jonty had his legs taken from him just inside the box however tis time jonni fails to score with the keeper making a decent save. This gave minors lads a bit of confidence and they had a good 10 min spell and pulled 1 bk with a header. We increased our lead again with the provider the same conlon with a hatrick of assists set up wayne who tucked it away well. Parkey nodded home a 4th after a good cross from jonni to the bk post. ht 4-1

<p>2nd half we made a ht substitute on came rougvie to replace the injured conlon. We set off well again playing some decent football and had a few half chances to increase the lead. 2nd change came off came ian to be replaced by phil. We finally scored a 5th with a great finish from parkey to complete is hatrick. Miners it back when we failed to deal with a long ball over the top and there lad finishes well. A couple of quick changes came off came jonni for matty and when with a slight calf strain was replaced by jack And it was both subs who combined for the 6th when a good team move down the left saw jack tee up matty at the bk post who finished well at bk post. Our 5th change came as callum replaced hammon in centre mid. A moment our keeper will want to forget quick when he deciced to throw the ball into his own net to make it 6-3. From a quickly taken free kick from jonty to calllum who finished well into the bottom corner to make it ful time 7-3.

<p>Overall the opposition wasnt very good today we played some good stuff at times and scored some decent goals and also managed to get all subs a decent amount of game time. We can now go into the international break on bk to bk to wins all smiles utc. Have a great easter.
