Home league match

From an original squad for todays game of 16 players it was cut down to just 12 players' with 3 no shows and 1 having to go work. So with limited options we went with 352 with matt king making his debut in goal a back 3 of badger dosh and ian, jonni and wayne was the wing backs with brunyee reyonlds and jonty the midfield 3. Pip n Parkey lead the line with medlock our only sub.

We set off well playing some good football and deservedly took the lead through a screamer from pip. it was quite end to end after this and fitz had a golden opportunity to level the scores from the spot when reynolds tried decapitating fitz players head inside the box. Step up kingy on debut to pull off an excellent save low down to his left to keep us 1 nil up. We was unlucky not to double our lead when parkey hits a left footed volley only to see it come bk off inside of post into keepers hands.

2nd half fitz started the better and was level after 10 mins with a spawny goal that deflected off badger and looped over every 1 and into the net. There lead didnt last more than a minute as from the ko jonty fired it over all fitz players and a stranded keeper to make it 2-1. The fitz boys wasnt happy as they said they was making a sub errrrr unlucky. The game was well stretched and fitz got a equalizer after there lad dove and conned the ref into giving him a free kick about 25 yards out. We didnt cover ourselfs in any glory in our defending from the free kick and with 20 to go it was locked at 2-2. 1st and only change came as medlock replaced brunyee for the last 20 mins. Parkey found himself clean through with the defender snapping at his heals the lad fouled parkey as he went to shoot stonewall penalty but the referee unbelievably turns it away only for fitz to break down the pitch and for the 1st time in the game with 7 minutes left put themselves infront with a well taken finish from there lad who did look offside which went un-noticed by the ref. We showed great character and spirit as most was running on empty to keep pushing for that equalizer and we got a lucky break with a couple minutes to go when parkey was fouled in the box it looked harsh but made up for the 1 that was stonewall earlier. Pip stepped up cool as you like and slotted the ball home bringing us bk level at 3-3. With only a few minutes left both teams seamed happy to settle for a draw and thats exactly how it ended.

overall to the 12 that was there well done great character and spirit Well done to kingy on his debut made a huge difference in the goal. Onto monkwood next week at home must win game.
