TTC Pick A Good Away Point Up

<p>Our final away league game saw us going bk to the pheonix sportsground after putting on a decent display there last week the manager was optimistic going into this 1 against 2nd place brinsworth whitehill. &nbsp;One changed was forced upon us with brunyee away on kid duty phil badger returned to otherwise an unchanged side from last week. &nbsp;So we lined up 4231 with housley in goal a bk 4 of ian badger dosh n jack, sean n dukey was the holding 2 wayne and jonni it the wings. jonty was in the whole supporting parkey uptop. Reynolds salty n conlon made up the bench.<p>We set off very poor and was behind in 1st couple of minutes of the game from a corner &nbsp;which we failed to defend properly. We settled down after a poor start and got a foothold in the game and after a good spell in game jack pinged a ball out to jonni who took it in his stride and scored a lovely curling effort from about 20 yard out to level the scores up. Brinsworth was struggling with possession and started going long ball to the front which we was dealing with well. Jonni had half a chance to put us in the lead when he found himself in space about 25 yard out but this time blazed his shot high over the bar. &nbsp;on the stroke of half time a good move down the right were ian managed to put jonty through and from a tight angle he blazed it over the bar.&nbsp;<p>2nd half again we set off slow and brinny had a good 15 minute spell in game but there shooting wasnt very good and didnt really cause us many problems. 1st change came around the hour mark off came jack to be replaced by salty. The wind had got up and the game had gone a bit scrappy with both teams struggling to create any clear cut chances. 2nd change came to freshen things up in the middle of the park off came jonty to be replaced by reynolds not long after our 3rd change came off came jonni to be replaced by conlon and he was involved straight away down the right when he went a good run only to forget to shoot when he got inside the box. A good chance for brinny with 10 to go when p badger dove into get the ball 25 yard out central to goal. Luckily brinny wasted the free kick hitting it high and wide. Going into the last few minutes both teams had great chances to win the game 1st was whitehill who was denied by a double save from our injured keeper and a shot that was blocked on the line by big parkey thank god it was him there. We broke straight up the other end a quick passing move saw wayne d through on goal who's shot was well saved by there goalie.&nbsp;<p>Overall after a poor start we composed ourselves well and played sum decent football and for the 2nd week running picked up a good away point against a team at the top.&nbsp;<p>well done boys.
