5 Weeks Off Takes It Toll

with 95% of the squad available the gaffer decided to revert back to the last league games outfield starting 10 v anston . the only change came in goal were buggy took over from the departing keeper . Strongest bench i think we have had all season was parkey gareth rougvie jake and brunyee.

We started the game very poor and found ourselfs 1 down after we lost the ball high up the field and on the break from whitehill we gave away a silly penalty. 1-0 became 2 -0 not long after when we failed to clear the ball properly. A knee injury to wilde which will see him out for 4 to 5 weeks was replaced by brunyee. We somehow managed to get 1 bk with a good floating header from pip to take us into half time luckily still in the game at 2-1.We made a ht change with gareth replacing badger.

2nd half next goal was massive and it was whitehill who got it and game was over really after 10 mins in when we conceded another daft penalty which they put away well. how the game was going it was a case of just getting all the subs some game time which we managed to get all 5 at least 20 mins. whitehill added a 4th and was gifted a 5th near the end by the ref as 2 whitehill players was 2 yard offside not that it made much difference to the outcome.

overall our passing pressing just wasnt there our fitness levels was also poor massive improvement needed moving forward in the 2nd half the season utc.
