Missed Opportunities And Defensive Errors Cost The Club

A few bodies back today gave us a good 15 man squad lining up 352 nick was in goal with dosh ryan brunyee the back 3 trinder and conlon was the wing bks with shaun sam jonty the midfield 3 jonni n josh was the attacking 2 left a strong bench of alex ian parkey and jake.

We set off well keeping good possession and we did have a early chance but the shot was dragged wide. We had to make an enforced change after 15 mins when trinder pulled up with a tight groin so was replaced by jake. afp was always dangerous and we gifted them a chance from a poor pass out of defence which gifted afp the opportunity to take the lead which there lad made no mistake. Our confidence didnt drop and we carried on playing some good football just couldnt make the chances count thought the 1st hal was one of best halfs we have played this season.

2nd half ian replaced brunyee who had to leave early. The half was more or less same as 1st half afp dangerous going forward but us good keeping the ball alex replaced shaun after the hour mark as 2 games in 3 days took its toll on him. Again with 15 mins to go another poor pass out of defence gifted afp the chance to make it 2 which again they made no mistake. parkey replaced josh for the last 10 mins and we did still have a couple of chances but today our finishing wasnt there like previous games.

overall was a good performance against a very good side and had we had the luck infront of goal the result could have been different. onto the cup next another tough test against meadowhall prem chanmpions stannington village. utc
