vs Triangle First

Home league match

A confident and unbeaten Hall looked keen to go out and get another win against Triangle to carry on the good form seen so far from the start of this season! However, a slow start and lack of concentration saw hall with some unwanted pressure early on with a few shots from triangle forcing some comfortable saves from reformed peado Hoyle Jnr! Hall began to find their feet with some well worked passing between Gibson, Casey and Clissitt with some long range shots from Drake and Martin but never really worrying the triangle keeper! With Hall's front 4 keeping the attacking pressure on and an impressive back 4 of Imrie, Coates, Cartlidge and Shepherd dealing with anything Triangle could throw at them it wasn't long before the deadlock was broken. A Clissitt cross into the box sees a poor header from the triangle defender fall kindly to the feet of Gibson to slot into the net with ease 1-0! Hall continued on the attack with a poor attempted lob shot from Clissitt and some good work down the left side from Casey but seeing his efforts saved resulting in a corner to hall which after a scramble in the area saw Cartlidge calmly finish with a left foot shot into the bottom corner, despite a bitter Gibson's best efforts to poach it for himself 2-0! The attacks from Hall continued and soon after saw another dangerous low and hard cross from Clissitt into the triangle area to find Gibson for another tap in 3-0!

HALF TIME!

Another slow start to the second half due to lack of urgency and mistakes from Hall meant triangle having a slight claim of posession and efforts at goal, however again was soon overturned and Hall's domination of the game continued, a flurry of shots from Drake being blocked by Triangle saw the ball fall once again to 'veteran' striker Gibson who easily lobbed the keeper to bag his hat-trick 4-0! Stand in manager Ogden felt its time for fresh legs so sends on Miles and Balika for Casey and Martin, the subs make an immediate impact and the well worked passing continues! It seemed Triangle were about to make a last effort fight back to try get something from the game and began to press, which resulted in some fantastic saves from Hoyle Jnr helping keep the hope of a clean sheet alive! Another sub, Stanton on for Smethurst whos calmness on the ball and extra energy in the midfield soon got Hall back goin again, a through ball from Drake met by miles to tip past the keeper and finish in the open net 5-0! Soon after saw some good work from Balika and Gibson with his shot being saved only for the rebound to be put away by Miles for his second 6-0! Hall ended very strong with multiple late missed chances and a Gibson disallowed goal which left them feeling the scoreline should have been greater but a fantastic result to still be happy with and high confidence to take into next weeks game!
