vs Ryburn United Halifax & District
Away league match
It was a hard fought cup game for thrum hall who visited Ryburn united on a sunny day in kebroyd the pitch conditions were questionable in places however they came out second best in a 3-2 loss
The game started off the same as any other TapEnd started as a rare sight due to the injury of the two keepers above him and was back
To usual standards as he failed to collect an early shot which ended at the feet of the ryburn attacker and became a goal although Karl could have probably done more to help this but that isn’t the point who’s fault it is as we won’t be pointing fingers for any of the goals as we win as a team and lose as a team
Just prior to half time with the last 30 mins being dull a long neck rose above the defence to slot home a close range header it was thrum halls giraffe Jonathan/Jonathon poking away his 16th shot of the game
And that drew half time as nothing much more happened it was quite boring
As the second half kicked off thrum hall quickly took the lead through a half volley from regan beat the ryburn keeper to give Thrum Hall a deserved lead however it didn’t last long as ryburn quickly struck back with 2 goals
A pass across and a wild one from 40 yards was a great shot no keeper could have saved it
That’s all I’m saying
I mean only an idiot would
Let it bounce over his head into the goal....
Following this Karl who had been his usual let down was replaced by thrum halls newest pensioner
Rick ‘how’s your sister’ needham
And new recruit jack Rothera replaces Geordie’my dog cost moe than your car’ Watson
The game would finish 3-2 however ryburns keeper managed to turn super human in the last 10
Mins and deny hall 3 sure fire goals
They move on to the week after back to the league against old pond looking to gain 3 points
