New Year - Same Snakes!

Football is back for the snakes ! With Christmas and new year out of the way ! With the snakes looking for a win against Halifax Rangers and climbing that table chasing siddal place who currently sit at the top of the pile ! The players get warm then it’s kick off time ... the snakes take the first half kick and play it Round keeping possession .. soon into the game Robbo plays a nice ball into henshaw with Clissitt running out wide and henshaw picking him out for a tap in for Clissitt 1-0 the snakes! Further into the game some nice play from hall led robbo to set Gibby up for the second goal of the game ! Soon after Thrum regain possession and the ball ends up near the corner flag where Clissitt picks it up! Clissitt blasting the ball in the air looking for a green shirt in the box with the ball blowing through the air it heads towards the Goal and ... ends up in the goal 3-0 the snakes ! kick off again for rangers with the snakes putting pressure on in the opposition box they concede a penalty .. Gibby the usual penalty taker gives Clissitt the chance to put away his hatrick .. Clissitt steps up and smashes the post with Rangers clearing it ! Casey absolutely over the moon and Clissitt absolutely under the moon ! Half time whistle gets blown ! Rangers to kick off the second half .. again the snakes pile on the pressure and Gibby picking up the ball and slotting away the snakes 4th. The goals do not stop there as Robbo dinks in a beautiful cross for Gibby to make a lovely headed goal to make it 5-0. Soon after casey picks up the ball with some nice passing around and takes on the rangers defence and makes it 6 for Hall ! Hall loving there football to much end up conceding a very sloppy goal to make it 6-1. quickly after the snakes angry for conceding get another goal from the man himself Gibby again 7-1 Hall ! Rangers determined to get another concelation goal put pressure on the snakes defence and with errors at the back the ball manages to trickle in the net 7-2 Snakes ! Not happy about conceding a second the snakes get lads forward and the ball ends up at Casey’s feet who slots it home nicely ! 8-2 the snakes ! With subs not mentioned as of yet ! Josh had come on with Gibby scoring 4 it was his time up. Hall then get a penalty awarded with the main penalty taker just getting subbed off the team decided it was joshs turn to step up and get a goal under his belt ! Unfortunately the lad put it wide. Not long after the referee decides to blow the final whistle. Final score the snakes 8 Rangers 2 ! Quality result for the snakes to climb the table facing the unbeaten team Siddal place at the snake pit next weekend ! Oi Oi lets be having you ! ?? ????
