Thrum Hall are the new kids on the block and based on their first half display - they could set the league on fire.

A change to their usual bumbling start, Hall came racing out of the block. After being gifted a clear penalty on 7 minutes - star striker Gibby stepped up confidently only to see his spot kick saved. Fortune favoured the brave however and he was able to tap home the rebound on 7 minutes.

Thrum Hall didn't let up after the first goal and carried on making opportunities - David Sudall could be seen as taking pity on the goalkeeper by miss-hitting a clear chance from just 10 yards - that said, his miss-hit shot did hit his stansing footy and bobbled across the goal line 2 nil.(12)

In the 23rd Minute Jay Clissett returned to pre season with some fire in his belly (and peeling skin on his back). It didnt take him long to make his impact down the right - cutting inside and leaving his man for dead several times.

With the injection of pace - David Sudall found himself in acres of space, and this time his shot was clean. 3 nil. (26)

In an eventful finish to the first half, Clissett treated the on lookers to a divine finish lobbing the keeper from 25 yards. Celebrations were cut short with the lino's flag waving. (35)

3nil at half time and the Hall were dreaming of their first win. A raft of changes were made at the start of the second half and that seemed to kill Halls momentum.

The hammers were gifted a clear penalty when Head coach playing cb for the day lost his head and dove in wrecklessly. While no contact was made, the intent was clear and the referee had no choice but to point to the spot. 3-1.(52)

A number of chances came and went for the Hall during the second half wasting numerous 4 on 3 opportunities as the hammers were pushing forward. Our ability to create chances never faulted but our finishing left many wanting.

The hammers (strengthend at half time by a number of first teamers) continued to play a high pressing game and coupled with accurate passing they were able to create a number of opportunities before scoring and bringing on a tense finale(86).

The game seemed to go on forever in the final moments and Halls heart and spirit was finally broken deep into stoppage time with the last kick of the game. Some could describe the goal as a fifa tap in (jew goal) but the hammers got the equaliser their second half deserved. (93)
