Snakes Bite Back

It was an exciting morning for Thrum Hall as word was going around that they may finally have signed a keeper that can catch.... and save.... and kick.... and keep his legs closed.... and not be annoying as fuck....

The snakes went into the game looking to redeem themselves after last weeks loss and started out with confidence pressing the Halifax Amateurs defense, but in the 9th minute a fuck up from Thrum Hall right back allowed the away team to take the lead. Not the start that was needed but they kept at it and in the 17th minute Jamie Casey broke through giving him chance to make it 1-1 but stroke the crossbar, luckily the ball fell to Jay Clissit who put the ball in the back of the net. 10 minutes later a cross from Clissit found Gibby who of course put the snakes 2-1 up. Half time came and Thrum Hall went in feeling they should have been on top, but the mood was soon lightened when the team noticed Tapend in full keeper kit, sunglasses and his mum's denim jacket... The 2nd half began and only 2minutes in the away team were awarded a penalty allowing them to draw level.... Game on! As the half went on both teams had their chances to go ahead yet neither took advantage and it wasn't until the 72nd minute when another cross from Clissit found an opposition defender turned striker who put the ball in the back of his own net. Thrum Hall now had to see out the rest of the game with the away team constantly coming at them trying to draw level, with a number of chances seeming to make there way onto the main road. Late on Hembers with his old age seemed to forget which team he played for and fired a header towards his own goal, but some quick reactions from the new keeper allowed them to keep their lead.

90minutes came and the snakes were back to winning ways.

Yet to make the day worse for tapend someone vandalised his car..... oh wait... wrong car!!
