HUBEY TIME!!! | THE TURF 4 - 2 LANGLEY PARK FC

What A Game!!! As the game kicked off, we found ourselves on the back foot as Langley tested our defences, but the game was quickly turned on its head once we got into our stride. With chance after chance coming our way, it was clear to see who the superior side was, despite the odd mishit pass and poor judgements made, but these were far and few between. As the ball was lofted up into our half, a miscommunication between Jak and Ben ended up in a nasty collision, which saw Ben needing to be subbed off for the time.

As the game continued, we fired chance after chance at their side, but failed to capitalize on it. Until eventually, a lofted ball over the top found us in a 2v2 situation, and we unfortunately went 1-0 down. Despite the set-back, we played on through to half-time with our heads held high and a chance to get back into the game, as the first few changes were made. However, as the game kicked off for the second half, we struggled to find our footing once again, allowing a number of chances to come our way with some poor passes and bad judgements. Eventually, with a mishit pass, the opposition found themselves back on the attack and slotted the ball in to make it 2-0; The better side were losing.

A wave of defeat began washing over the pitch, until a freekick was won on the halfway line. With bodies sent forward, the ball was lofted into the area by Lewis, flicked around a few times, before falling to Matty, only to pass the ball across the face of the goal and BOOOM!! HUBEY TIME!!! Hubert fires the ball into the net to make it 2-1; The game is on!!

With a glimmer of hope we quickly got back into the game as we started pressing as a team again, creating chances and playing for each other as Matty sets up our second goal for Niall to bring us back into the game at two all; But we didn't stop there. With a hunger to win, we pressed on, as the ball finds Matty once again, bombing up the pitch yet again, slotting the ball across, and BOOOM!!! HUBEY TIME 2.0, as Hubert fires in his second to take the Turf into the lead.

The match continued, and with a few subs being brought in, we still wanted more. Langley looked threatening in places, but we weren't giving up that easily, as Matty receives the ball yet again, darting down the side of the pitch, as centre back Lewis blazes down the field for a 2v2 chance. Matty lifts his head yet again, crossing the ball in front of goal, as Lewis locks in our first win of pre-season for a fantastic game of football. 4-1.

Honestly, I couldn't fault anyone's performance today, we all played out of our skins for each other, and battled hard. Massive credit goes to Dylan, Decous, and Henry in the centre of the pitch, fighting their socks off to keep us in the game, creating chance after chance and playing out of their skin. Fantastic game lads.
