A deflating performance from The Fozzers this evening, against an Undateables side who they really should have done more against. The game started as a close knit affair with both teams trading goal for goal and creating an exciting atmosphere on a warm Wednesday evening. Goalkeeper Holloway had an OK performance, making some good saves when needed, especially a blind save low to his right, but again made several distribution errors and failed to save a couple of the simpler shots. One match loan player Liam is clearly a top quality player and looked a class above the rest of the boys in yellow, giving the Fozzers that defensive quality they have been lacking since the injury to Kosovan national Sam Kirby. Liam scored two worked well goals although a return to the pitch may be unrealistic, as bigger clubs look to secure his signature. He worked well with the returning Anosczcenko, who also had a decent performance. The highlight was most definitely an exquisitely performed turn under pressure in the middle of the pitch. Much can also be said of Hughes' performance, bagging a stunning if lucky goal, and playing well in the middle of the park. Jamal Gask-Clarke played well off the ball and got in some good shooting positions, also bagging two goals, but was found napping when tracking back and more must be put in to the defensive side of his game. Reece Gask- Clarke had a quiet game and didn't offer enough when needed, although being more vocal with the team did help. Choudhury was thrown in up top and didn't do too much of note, but played well when he dropped back a bit later on. Some key interceptions and good ball playing sees a marked improvement from the past couple of weeks. Gremayoko arrived late and it's clear that his earlier traffic collision weighed negatively on his mind, as he had a shocker. Although he bagged a goal, he missed the target on a number of occasions and lacked the touch he's usually so convicted in. Scallon also played. He had a poor performance after last weeks man of the match winning showing and failed to make an impact up front, in the middle or at the back. The whole team in general lacked that finishing touch and were at times sloppy in possession.
