Sometimes this writer feels a results is not justified. This writer believes that a 7 goal loss tonight was not necessarily reflective of the entire game but as our captain Holloway says; it is what it is. Fozzers started with their number 2 in goal, Grem Gremayoko, as the usual keeper, Holloway, arrived late. Gremayoko is clearly more a natural goalscorer than goalkeeper, but still tried his best. Once Holloway did turn up, he had a decent game and although conceded a number of goals, there wasn't much he could do for a number of them. The 9 goals scored against the fozzers can again maybe be put down to the influential figure of Sam Kirby missing at the back. Playing with a more unorthodox, free flowing formation to usual, the outfielders were finding it hard to link up, and every loose pass was capitalised on by a beaverish Dickerty FC, returning to the league after a few years away. Individually, the best player on the pitch was the young Cain Thomas, who made his debut for the first team after a string of appearances for some other, significantly less important football clubs. He controlled the ball well and scored a cracking goal from just in front of the half way line. We look to see more from the lad in the future. Scallon had what was easily his best performance of the season so far. Although at fault for a goal or two, his tireless work ethic and genuinely good defensive work at times is enough to see him over the line as this writers man of the match. Choudhury also had a better performance this week, finding himself in some good scoring positions but just lacking that critical final touch. Hughes worked hard in the middle as always, and was a good 2 to Thomas at times, but seemed to lose his legs and motivation later on in the game, a long journey to Nottingham awaits for the man. Jamal GC finally returned to first team action after a number of weeks on sabbatical and international duty. The young buck looked to have all the energy in the world, but the lad really has got to control that temper. Multiple unnesecary pushes nearly saw the youngster sin binned, and the same can be said of his older, much more orrible older brother Reece. Visibally annoyed throughout, who knows what's going on with the big man. Rumours from the Sun have purported that he may be ready to come out, but we only deal with facts here. Gremayoko also played well but didn't bag the goals as usual. His head was still in his goal as he found himself tracking back a lot, although he defended well. Overall, a difficult day for The Fozzers with Anosczcenko out for undisclosed reasons, Suddick out on international duty and Kirby still nowhere to be seen.
